Restoring Sitout Pro

On a new or reset iPhone, sign in with the Apple Account you used to buy Pro, open Sitout, and tap Restore Purchases on the Sitout Pro screen. Pro belongs to that Apple Account, not to one phone.

Canceling the yearly plan

Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name (your Apple Account) at the top, then Subscriptions, then Sitout Pro, then Cancel Subscription. In short: Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to stop the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the year you've paid for. The lifetime purchase is a single payment, so there's nothing to cancel. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What's free and what's in Sitout Pro

Free: any single night, at any size. Both formats (rotating partners, with the optional mixed-doubles rule, and fixed partners), fair sit-outs, scores, undo, end-of-night standings and share cards.

Sitout Pro: saved seasons with standings across weeks, group history, and DUPR CSV export. Players never pay for anything.

How are sit-outs chosen?

Whoever has sat out the fewest times sits next. On a tie, whoever sat longest ago sits, then roster order. That means sit-outs never differ by more than one between any two players, and nobody is benched while someone with fewer sit-outs keeps playing.

Example: with 9 players on 2 courts, 8 play and 1 sits out each round, and everyone has sat out once after 9 rounds. See the 9-player rotation or try the sit-out board.

Someone arrived late or has to leave early

Add the latecomer or mark the player as gone at any point in the night. Scores already entered stay where they are, and only the rounds still to come change. A latecomer starts level with the group's fewest sit-outs, so they aren't benched several rounds in a row to catch up.

The round timer didn't make a sound

With the app open, the timer chimes and buzzes when time's up. With the phone locked, Sitout sends a "Time's up" notification, which needs notifications turned on: Settings → Notifications → Sitout → Allow Notifications. A Focus mode or the silent switch can also keep it quiet.

Handing the night to a co-organizer

In a night, tap ••• → Send the night to a co-organizer, and AirDrop or message the file to their iPhone (they need Sitout installed). Opening it shows "Take over the night": their phone continues on the same round with every score. It's a copy, not a live sync, so after the hand-off, enter scores on one phone only.

Do players need the app?

No. Only the organizer installs Sitout. Players don't need the app, an account or any payment. They see rounds and standings on the organizer's phone or on the share cards the organizer sends.

Where is my data?

On the organizer's iPhone, and nowhere else. Sitout has no account, no server, no analytics and no ads. Players, scores and standings leave the phone only when you share a card, a CSV file or a night file. Details are in the privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Delete the Sitout app from your iPhone. That deletes every player, night, score and season Sitout stored. Share cards and CSV files you already sent stay wherever you sent them.

Sitout Pro pricing

  • Sitout Pro, yearly: $29.99 per year, an auto-renewing subscription.
  • Sitout Pro, lifetime: $69.99, a one-time purchase.

Prices are in US dollars. The App Store shows the price in your currency before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The yearly subscription renews automatically unless it's canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.

Any single night is free without Pro, and players never pay. Sitout is provided under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. See also the privacy policy.
