Pickleball round robin for 16 players

Updated October 12, 2026. Every schedule on this page was generated by Sitout's own rotation engine.

Short answer

16 players fill 4 courts exactly, so nobody sits out. In 15 rounds, every player partners each of the other 15 exactly once: all 120 possible partnerships, none twice.

On 3 courts, 12 play and 4 sit out each round. Over 8 rounds everyone sits out twice and plays 6 games with 6 different partners.

16 players on 4 courts: a complete rotation

Eight teams on four courts each round. Stop wherever your night ends: every round before that is already a fresh partner for everyone.

How to run a 16-player round robin

  1. Book 4 courts

Sixteen players fill four courts exactly. With three, a quarter of the group sits each round.

  2. Post the round where everyone can see it

With eight teams moving at once, read the courts out or put them on a screen so nobody crowds the organizer.

  3. Give everyone a new partner every round

The 4-court table above does it for all 15 rounds.

  4. Time the rounds

With four courts, games finish at different times. A fixed round length (12 to 15 minutes is common) keeps the courts turning over together.

  5. Keep score per player

Each player gets their team's result. Rank by win rate, then point difference per game, then total points, so a player who sat out more isn't penalized for playing fewer games.

  6. Handle late arrivals and early exits

Someone who arrives mid-night starts level with the group's fewest sit-outs, so they aren't benched round after round to catch up. Someone who leaves keeps every score they already have.
