Privacy Policy

Short version: Fantasy Queens collects only what a house needs to work. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Effective October 16, 2026.

What we collect

Account. When you sign in with Apple, Google or email, we receive your email address (Apple may give a private relay address) and a user ID. If you sign in with email and a password, the password is handled by our authentication provider and is never visible to us.

Profile. The display name and @username you choose, an optional profile photo, and an optional Venmo handle if you add one so friends can pay you.

Houses and game activity. The houses you belong to (and an optional house photo), your picks, votes, RSVPs and when each pick was saved.

Messages and notes. What you post in a house chat, a host's notes or an episode chat (up to 500 characters each), and items you add to a bring list. While you type in a chat, the other members' phones are told you're typing so they can show it; that signal isn't stored.

Host details. If you host a watch party, the time, address, notes and optional gate or door code you enter on the host card. You choose whether the address is shown to everyone in the house or only to people who RSVP "going". The gate code is shown only to you and people who RSVP "going". Both stop being shown to others a few hours after the night, and the gate code is deleted a day after. Deleting a host card deletes it.

Payments you record. If your house tracks dues, the House Mother can mark who has paid. The app doesn't process payments and never holds money.

Notifications and calendar (optional). If you turn on notifications, we store your phone's push token until you turn them off. Reminders you turn on are scheduled on your phone and never leave it. If you add the calendar link, we store a private random link for your calendar; you can replace it any time.

What we don't collect

No device location, contacts or advertising identifier, and no access to your photo library beyond the single photo you pick. No analytics or advertising SDKs. We don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell your data. Saving an event to your calendar uses Apple's own sheet, so Fantasy Queens never reads your calendar.

Who can see it

Members of a house see its members' display names, points, RSVPs and payment status, and the messages posted in the house. Your picks are hidden from the house until an episode locks. Votes are hidden until a vote closes, and an episode's chat stays closed until the episode airs. Your @username and photo are shown next to your name. Your Venmo handle is stored with your profile; the app shows it only to a House Mother collecting dues, but it can be read by people in your houses. House Mothers can remove members and messages. Nobody outside your houses sees your activity.

Photos, messages, reports and blocking

Profile and house photos are optional and are stored with Supabase. They're resized on your phone and are visible to people in your houses. Anyone in a house can report a message, photo or profile, or hide a person, from the app. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks the Community Rules. Messages you or a House Mother remove are deleted, not just hidden.

Queen photos. The photos of queens shown in the app were shared by the queens or their teams, are freely licensed (for example on Wikimedia Commons), or are promotional photos used to identify them. Each photo is credited, and a queen or rights holder can ask for one to be removed; see Queen photos.

Where it is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, our hosted database and sign-in provider, in the United States. Sign in with Apple and Google are used only to confirm who you are. If you turn on notifications, Apple's push service delivers them.

GIF search. When you search for a GIF in a house chat, the words you type go through our server to GIPHY, which returns the matching GIFs. Neither our server nor the app stores your searches, and GIPHY isn't told who is searching. The GIF images themselves load from GIPHY's servers like any web image, so those servers see your device's internet address, but not your name or account. The GIF you post is saved as a message like any other.

House Pass. If you buy a House Pass, Apple handles the payment. We receive and keep Apple's transaction ID with the house and the account that bought it, so the pass can be confirmed and never counted twice. We never see your card or Apple ID details.

Your choices

You can leave a house at any time. To delete your account and everything tied to it (profile, photos, picks, messages, RSVPs, host cards and tokens), use Delete account in the account menu of the app, or email support@couchcoopstudios.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete it within 30 days. If you sign in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the connection between your Apple ID and the app.

Children

Fantasy Queens isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
